Artist Statement

CG Squire (they/them) is a Pittsburgh based, queer, and multifaceted theater creator with focuses in directing, acting and stage management. Their directing work is often based in everyday situations, making small, intimate moments feel larger than life. CG’s focuses their work on dramatic plays, immersive pieces, site specific works, and telling stories written by, for and about the LGBTQ+ community. As a stage manager, they’ve worked in many different types of productions, including dance, theater and drag performances. CG’s main inspiration in art is motivating people to look inwards to reflect, and outwards to explore.
